Why Cordiel

A Considered Approach to Adult Learning

Our programmes are built on the belief that good reading, done in community, builds lasting vocabulary confidence.

Reading-Led Format

Each session is anchored in a printed reader, not slides. Participants come prepared and discuss as a cohort — at their own pace.

Small Cohort Discussions

Group sizes are kept deliberately small so that conversation stays meaningful and every participant has space to reflect and question.

Purely Educational

No advice, no product recommendations, no sales. Our programmes are educational in scope — vocabulary and reading confidence only.

Singapore-Specific Context

Readers and glossaries draw on CPF structures, SRS, HDB-adjacent planning vocabulary, and the documentation landscape familiar to Singapore households.

Unhurried Pacing

Programmes are scheduled across evenings and weekends, allowing working adults to engage without disrupting other commitments.

Physical Materials

Every programme includes printed materials — binders, glossaries, scenario cards — designed to stay useful long after the final session.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during a reading workshop session?
Participants receive the printed reader or glossary chapter in advance and are encouraged to read it before the session. During the session, a facilitator guides a structured group discussion — exploring vocabulary, asking questions, and working through the reading together. There are no lectures and no advice given.
Are these programmes suitable if I have no background in financial topics?
Yes, entirely. The programmes are written for adults who want to build reading confidence in this area from the ground up. No prior knowledge is assumed. The vocabulary card and glossary materials are designed to be accessible for someone encountering these terms for the first time.
Do you provide financial advice or product recommendations?
No. Cordiel is purely an educational provider. Our programmes focus on reading comprehension and vocabulary building. We do not offer financial advice, recommend products, or engage in any regulated advisory activity. Participants who need personalised advice are encouraged to consult a qualified professional.
Where are the sessions held?
Sessions are held at our reading studio at 30 Cecil Street, #19-08, Prudential Tower, Singapore 049712. The venue is accessible via Telok Ayer and Raffles Place MRT stations.
How large are the reading cohorts?
We keep cohort sizes small — typically between 6 and 12 participants — so that discussion remains substantive and unhurried. If a programme is fully enrolled, we will add you to the waiting list for the next cohort.
What is the enrolment process and how do I pay?
Send us an enquiry through the contact form or by phone. We will confirm availability and share a programme schedule. Payment is by bank transfer or PayNow and is due upon confirmation of your place. All prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
Can I join multiple programmes?
Yes. The three programmes cover distinct topics and can be taken in any order. Many participants begin with the Household Budget Conversations series before progressing to the Retirement Vocabulary Reading Circle, but there is no fixed sequence.
